Floral Arranging Workshop on Sunday at Bevier House Museum

Led by instructor Lily Bruder-Zal, owner of Vanishing Point Flower Farm in Highland and the floral business Lily & Leaf, this floral arranging workshop, offered by the Ulster County Historical Society, will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Bevier House Museum, 2682 Route 209, Marbletown. Participants will learn professional tips and tricks for creating beautiful bouquets and other floral arrangements including: harvesting cut flowers from the garden; post-harvest care and conditioning; constructing a large-scale centerpiece, and making a quick corsage or boutonnière. At the end of the two-hour workshop, students will take home a beautiful display of locally harvested seasonal flowers they have arranged. Refreshments will be served as part of the afternoon program. Enrollment fee includes all the materials necessary: flowers, base and other arrangement supplies. Registration is limited to 12 people.
