Music and rhythm are essential tools to increase the development of physical strength, mental and cognitive processing, language acumen, and socialization skills in young children. In this drumming class, 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at RosenSpace, 402 Main St., Rosendale, adults will learn how to play with their child to musically connect on a creative level, regardless of any musical prior experience. The class will include games and songs, music and movement, rhythm keeping and experiential hands-on instruments, all geared toward strengthening the body and activating the brain. Cost is $12.
