‘Harris Diamant: A Retrospective’ at the Wired Gallery of High Falls

Posted

The Wired Gallery presents a retrospective of the work of Harris Diamant, a nationally recognized and widely exhibited sculptor and artist who has recently relocated to Kingston from New York City. Known as an authority on live steam models, American toys and scientific instruments, Diamant’s work with fabricated heads is the primary focus of the Wired Gallery retrospective. The work covers a wide range of mediums from wood carvings, drawings, steel and lead sculptures to assemblages. Diamant turned his focus to the making of sculptures in the mid-1980s. Prior to that, he was a pioneering dealer in American folk art since the early 1960s. The solo exhibit runs through Sept. 23, at the gallery, 11 Mohonk Road, High Falls.
