Town of Marbletown American Legion Post 1512 extends to the community and its organizations an invitation to participate in the annual Marbletown Parade and Memorial Service to be held on Monday, May 27. Parade lineup will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Marbletown Elementary School, 12 Pine Bush Road, Stone Ridge. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and proceeds from the Elementary School to Route 209 and ends at the Marbletown Community Center, 3564 Main St., (across from Key Bank), Stone Ridge, where the Memorial Service will be held immediately following the parade. The Rondout Valley High School Band will perform in the parade and at the service. As always, there will be hot dogs provided inside for the community and drinks on the back porch after the service. Veterans, young and old, men and women are always needed as members to help keep this tradition and others going strong. Town of Rosendale/Tillson American Legion Post 1219 will be hosting its annual Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 27. Formation will begin at 9 a.m. sharp along Tillson Road and step off at 10 a.m., continuing down Springtown Road to Elting Road to James Street and then to Main Street, and ending at the Veterans Memorial Park at the intersection of Main Street and Route 32 in Rosendale for a ceremony to honor veterans. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony at the Legion, 794 Springtown Road, Tillson. For more information, contact John Nelson, of American Legion Post 1219, at 845-339-3087.

 

Accord Fire Company Inc. will be holding a Memorial Day parade to honor our veterans and military on Monday, May 27, with lineup at the Town Garage beginning at 12:30 p.m., with step-off at 1 p.m. The parade route is from Town Hall to Granite Road, to Scenic Road to Main Street, on to the Accord Firehouse, where a memorial dedication service will be held.
