"Singers & Songbooks: Horace Silver" Led by Camille Thurman and the Darrell Green Trio

Posted

Camille Thurman’s tenor saxophone recalls the mastery of legends like Joe Henderson and Dexter Gordon, while her scintillating singing and “remarkable prowess” (Downbeat Magazine) has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald and Betty Carter.

Thurman, one of the most astonishing young artists in jazz today, honors and celebrates the enduring legacy of exalted pianist Horace Silver by offering an original take on his music and exploring his soulful 1970's jazz-funk through exciting new arrangements.

Singers & Songbooks is presented with the Catskill Jazz Factory.
