Snap! Crackle! Pop! UP gallery features ‘SELFISH!’ by Angela Valk in Stone Ridge

Snap! Crackle! Pop! UP Gallery presents “SELFISH!” by Angela Valk at the RidgeWell Fitness Center, 2555 Main St., Stone Ridge, with the opening reception at 5 tonight, Friday, Feb. 7. The show will run through Thursday, Feb. 20. “SELFISH!” is an empowering series of self-portraits painted by Angela Valk exploring self-love and queer identity. The work is vulnerable, putting all of the cards on the table with bright colors and exciting patterns. This series is an expression of growth and learning to love oneself, being honest with oneself and understanding personal identity. Valka is a painting and drawing student at SUNY New Paltz. The Snap! Crackle! Pop! UP Gallery joins RidgeWell Fitness Center for this opportunity to showcase the works of emerging artists, striving to create an accessible platform for artists to share their work with the community.
