“Follies” is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Goldman. The story is about a reunion in a crumbling Broadway theater, scheduled for demolition, of the past performers of the “Weismann's Follies,” a musical revue (based on the Ziegfeld Follies) that played in that theater between the World Wars. The musical is staged for the first time by the National Theatre of London and broadcast live to cinemas. It will be shown at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St., Rosendale. Admission is $12/$10 members. For more info, call 658-8989 or visit rosendaletheatre.org.
