The 1st Annual Stone Mountain Sound:Motion Festival - June 23rd 2018- Noon till Dark. This new eclectic festival is presenting a full day of world class improvised music from many musical streams including a number of Creative Music Studio alumni. Artists include The Jessica Jones Quartet, Tani Tabbal Trio, Fula Flute with Masters Bailo Bah and Sylvain Leroux, Haitian-born composer, percussionist and turntablist Val-Inc (Val Jeanty), Cumulus w/ Peter Coates and Erik Archer, Singer Timothy Hill, The Biophony Project, The Visionary Youth Orchestra, Gamelan Genduh, Luke Stence, Mitochondrial with special guests Chris Lane’ and Joakim Lartey and a Flying demonstration with Brooklyn based 5th Wall Studio. Site specific forest based deep listening meditation pieces and demonstrations of plant based music are planned. The Festival takes place on the beautiful Stone Mountain Farm in Rosendale New York. Amazing local and organic food by The Rail Trail Cafe and Local brews by The Arrowood Farm Brewery. Tickets are $35 in advance $40 the day of show.
