THIRD THURSDAY NATURE SERIES

Posted

This month's topic: How to Recycle Better and Contribute to a Zero Waste Future: What types of plastics are recyclable? What is not recyclable? Find out here! Where does your trash go? Is everything you send for recycling really being recycled? How will our county deal with waste as landfills close and the waste system changes?

This free event is brought to you by the Town of Rochester Environmental Conservation Commission. On the third Thursday of every month, we provide thought provoking subject matter, highlighting our natural environment, outdoor activities and appreciation for the area we live in.

In October, the speaker will be Andrew Faust: Permaculture for our Region, November, Mohonk Preserve will speak about forest management.

Some upcoming topics: native plants, local geology, local farming methods, eagles, local history, astronomy, fishing, hunting, foraging, and much more!
