Land & Boundary Steward:
Mohonk Preserve seeks a Land & Boundary Steward to conduct physical patrol, maintenance, and documentation of a portion of the Preserve’s nearly 80 miles of fee property boundary, a portion of the off-trail interior, and conservation easements. Requirements: working knowledge of mapping programs/tools – current ESRI ArcGIS applications; Gaia, Avenza, (preferred); ability to read/evaluate the landscape, use map, compass, land surveys, aerial photos for navigation and interpretation. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Land/Natural Resource Mgmt., Forestry or other related fields OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Seasonal; 1,040 hours; $21/hr; housing available.
