An exhibit of recent watercolors and one oil by Rosendale’s Staats Fasoldt

Posted

“I moved to Rosendale in 1976 to study art at SUNY New Paltz,” said Fasoldt, “The town has changed over the years but has managed to remain a real community.”

Paintings in watercolor and one in oil by Staats Fasoldt will be on display at the Rosendale Theatre, at 408 Main St., Rosendale for the month of June. “Watercolorists need to be brave and a little reckless,” explained Fasoldt, “since the medium is liquid, it has a mind of its own. Gravity becomes an important tool, and the rules of diffusion need to be understood. Visit the Rosendale Theatre, it is a real center of creative forces.” For more information and hours of operation, visit rosendaletheatre.org or call 845-658-8989.
