The Mark Gruber Gallery hosts it’s “Winter Salon, a group show,” Saturday, Feb. 8 with over a dozen local artists and artisans bring a blizzard of artwork to the gallery, in the New Paltz Plaza, New Paltz. The Winter Salon exhibit runs through March 22.
From the wide variety of media and styles (and seasons) to the essence of local landscapes and still lifes, walk through a landscape wonderland captured in oils, pastels, watercolors, and photographs by such regional talents as James Coe, Kevin Cook, James Cramer, Cathy Copeland, Carolyn Edlund, Andrea McFarland, Linda Puiatti, Marlene Wiedenbaum of High Falls, to name but a few. Enjoy Rosendale’s Staats Fasoldt’s fluid and airy watercolors, landscape photographs by Hardie Truesdale, Leonie Lacouette’s whimsical clocks along with one-of-a-kind vases, bowls and vessels by Kaete Brittan Shaw of High Falls, Linda Moriarty, Bruce Wood, and Gary Johnson. Expert framing is always available.
