The Rosendale Recreation Commission is pleased to announce the return of line dancing in Rosendale. Goldie Goldberg will lead the weekly class, 1 p.m. Mondays beginning Sept. 30, at the Rondout Municipal Center Gym, 1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill. Classes are open to everyone, of all ages and abilities. There will be a fee of $2 for residents of Rosendale and Marbletown and $5 for non-residents. Participants are asked to wear flat, smooth-soled shoes.

The Rosendale Recreation Commission is also offering a five-class series in Simple Drawing with local artist Wayne Montecalvo, 11-12:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning Oct. 3 at the Rosendale Community Center, 1055 Route 32, Rosendale (no class Oct. 17). Students will be drawing with pen, pencil and charcoal from still life, objects, portraits or anything else that interests them. No experience is required, simply an interest in drawing. Pre-registration is required at the Recreation Office. Fee per class is $8 for Rosendale residents and $10 for non-residents. At the time of registration students will be given a list of materials to bring to class. For more information on both these programs, call the Recreation Office at 658-8198.
