Staubly, 92 of Stone

Ridge, died on Tuesday Nov. 5, 2024 at his home. Richard

was born in Deer Park, Long Island on July 21, 1932 to Anna Olander Staubly and George Staubly. Richard was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was married 69 years to Wilma Boyn Staubly and they both graduated from Babylon High School. Richard and Wilma had two sons David and Steve (Lisa Mensik) and two grandchildren Greta and Sam. After serving two years in the Army during the Korean War Richard worked 36 years for IBM. He was a Boy Scout Leader for troop 24 in High Falls for a number of years which gave him great enjoyment. Richard loved to travel, bike ride, ice skate work in his yard and most of all play golf with his friends at Stone Dock. He was fortunate and blessed to do these activities for many years in retirement. Richard is survived by a sister (Patricia Buschkuhl) and brother (Charles Staubly) and a former brother (Donald Staubly) who predeceased him. George J. Moyland Funeral Home Inc., Rosendale, is assisting the

family. There will not be any calling hours and a burial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice and home care professionals for the excellent care they gave Richard. They would also
