“The Need to Grow” documentary to be shown at the Marbletown Community Center

The Rosendale Theatre, High Falls Food Co-op, the Soil to Soul program of the Holistic Health Community co-present the film, “The Need to Grow,” 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Marbletown Community Center, 3654 Main St., Stone Ridge.

Narrated and Executive produced by Rosario Dawson, “The Need to Grow” urges its viewers to save the soil and save the world through choosing regenerative farm practices, supporting small local farms and being part of the movement for food and land equity.

The film follows several environmental champions, from a 6-year-old food activist trying to ensure her future to a never-say-die micro-farmer and a brilliant inventor. These three protagonists understand the need to feed the Earth without destroying the soil.

There will be a panel discussion following the screening. Tickets are $10/$6 members.
