Work of performance painter Nancy Ostrovsky of Accord in, ‘And Still We Rise’ exhibit

“And Still We Rise” showcases the work of Hudson Valley artists across a range of genres including painting, sculpture, and mixed media, on exhibit through Feb. 23, at ASK, Arts Society of Kingston, 97 Broadway, Kingston. Curated by Rochleigh Z. Wholfe in collaboration with Yvette Lewis and ASK Gallery Committee, exhibit artists include Jean Cambell, Ted Dixon of Rosendale, Amy Fenton-Shine, Judit German-Heins, Sikena Khadija, Josh Kramb, Shelli Lipton, Carmen Lizardo, Jason Mones, Accord’s Nancy Ostrovsky, Shani Richards, Tafari “The Artist” Saunders, Wolfe, and Amelia C. Williams. Works draw inspiration from the indomitable spirit and perseverance of the Black community throughout history and into the present. The gallery is open, noon-5 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.
