Locals continue to trot to 14th annual Thanksgiving Day classic family fun charity event

(Nov. 23)The Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot is a 5K run and walk held annually on Thanksgiving morning to support Family of New Paltz’s food pantry and crisis assistance services. This year’s event will include prizes for best costumes, T-shirts for adults and children, and of course the famous Mashed Potato Fun Run, which is free for children age 12 and under. Online registration at newpaltzturkeytrot.itsyourrace.com is available through 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21. In-person registration and pickup of race packets begins noon-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Jewish Community Center, 30 N.
