Art exhibit of Hudson Valley Landscapes, paintings by Kate Masters

Stop in to see the new art exhibit of Hudson Valley Landscapes, paintings by Kate Masters, Jan. 10 through the end of February, at the Stone Ridge Library, 3700 Main St., Stone Ridge. The exhibit includes some of Master’s recent work, including pieces from her “Sunflowers” and “Escarpments” series.

"I am inspired by sweeping romantic scenes, working to reflect the magical light, air and mood of a scene,” she explained. “My favorite outcomes are often the result of putting down layers of color, as well as scraping layers away."
