Cement Town, a Rosendale Story

Posted

Join Siren Theatre Company and the Century House Historical Society in Rosendale, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6, at 668 Route 213, Rosendale for an original play written by Tricia Anderson and Caitlin Connelly that will take the audience on a theatrical, immersive tour through 1899 Rosendale, when cement was king, and the local nightlife was decidedly saucy! Meet the characters, historical and invented, who made Rosendale’s cement mining industry boom and watch as they navigate threats to their livelihoods, relationships, and lifestyles, from the local saloon all the way into the Widow Jane Mine herself. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.

The play starts David Smilow, Caitlin Connelly, Antique Anderson, Alysabeth Anderson, Trey Daniels, Maclain Maier, Rebecca Rajswasser, Elisabeth Henry, Wilhelm Anderson, Adam Colombo, and Tricia Anderson. Proceeds support the Century House Historical Society and Siren Theatre Company in collaboration to bring history alive through the arts. This is an interactive theatrical experience that moves throughout the Snyder Estate and Widow Jane

Mine. Please wear comfortable shoes for walking. Tickets are $30 and are available at widowjanemine.com.
