Bette Davis and Joan Crawford shine brighter than ever in this harrowing tale of jealousy, madness and the decay of fame, “What ever happened to Baby Jane,” showing 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St., Rosendale. The film’s success rejuvenated the careers of both Davis and Crawford, who were both considered past their prime at the time of its release. The story centers on two aging sisters, Jane Hudson (Bette Davis) and Blanche Hudson (Joan Crawford), who live together in a decaying Hollywood mansion. Jane, known as “Baby Jane,” during her childhood for her successful vaudeville career, is now a bitter, alcoholic recluse. Blanche, once a successful film actress, is now wheelchair-bound due to a mysterious accident. Admission to the film is $10/$6 members.
