Designed for both birding enthusiasts and those just looking to learn the basics, this series, 8 a.m. Tuesdays will offer various outings led by Nick Martin, park educator, or an experienced birding volunteer. Participants should bring binoculars and water and wear appropriate hiking shoes. Outing destinations will be determined the day of the program. Poor weather conditions trigger a program cancellation. Participants will meet at the main entrance to Minnewaska between 7:30-8 a.m. Participants must arrive prior to the start of the program, but no earlier than 7:30 a.m. The Park Preserve gates will be locked at 8 a.m. Late arrivals will not be allowed in the Park Preserve.
