Let’s Move with the Library walks and picnic

Join Sarah Robertson, program manager, friends, and neighbors for these weekly walks along local rail trails each Thursday, noon-1 p.m. On Sept. 7, meet at O&W rail trail Leggett Road parking lot; Sept. 14, meet at the WV rail trail at the Trestle Bridge parking lot; Sept. 21, meet at the O&W rail trail at the Cottekill Fire Dept. parking lot; and Sept. 28, meet at the WV rail trail lot at the Women’s Studio Workshop. The Sept. 28 Let’s Move will be followed by a picnic, 1:30-2:30, on the library lawn, at 3700 Main St., Stone Ridge. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Group members are requested to bring a side dish or dessert to share. RSVP to programs@stoneridgelibrary.org with what food is to be brought. This social group is a talking and walking group with the motto, “We are only as fast as our slowest walker.” Looking to meet new people and get some steps in while conversing, then just join in. No pets please. Be sure to check with the doctor before joining this group or any exercise program. No registration necessary – just show up! All walks are weather permitting. Weather cancellations will be posted on the Stone Ridge Library’s Facebook and Instagram page, so be sure to check those out if the weather is questionable.
