Art, nature, and community come together as Mohonk Preserve and Roost Arts Hudson Valley present the fifth annual Plein Air Art Walk at Mohonk Preserve's Testimonial Gateway Trailhead, 35 Route 299, New Paltz.

This unique event invites visitors to experience the creative process firsthand as artists create original works of art in the great outdoors amid the stunning landscapes of the Mohonk Preserve Foothills. Artists will be stationed along the Pin Oak Allée, Lenape Lane, and Ridgeview Trail, capturing the beauty of the historic Testimonial Gateway Tower, expansive meadows, and sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge.

Event attendees are invited to explore the trails, meet participating artists, and watch as paintings come to life throughout the day. The event is free for Mohonk Preserve members. Non-members are invited to attend with the purchase of a day pass. Children ages 15 and under are free with an accompanied adult. Following the event, completed artwork will be photographed and displayed at the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center Gallery in Gardiner and made available through an online auction through Nov. 1. The closing reception will be held, 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, offering the public an opportunity to meet the artists and place final bids. Proceeds from the auction will support participating artists, Mohonk Preserve, and Roost Arts Hudson Valley. Learn more about the event at https://www.mohonkpreserve.org/art-walk/.
