SongClub with Debbie Lan featured monthly at MISU

Posted

The Music Institute of Sullivan and Ulster County (MISU) will feature SongClub with Debbie Lan, 5-6:30 p.m. the last Saturday of each month at 40 Market St., Ellenville with the next session on April 27.

SongClub is a drop-in singing event that builds community through singing original arrangements of familiar songs in a safe and welcoming environment. The audience is the choir! All voices and levels are welcome; no experience is necessary.

Lan is a song leader, choral director, musician, songwriter and arranger. She directs weekly voice ensembles Bloom (60 voices), The B2's, Perennial, and the Resisterhood Community Choir.

MISU offers instruction in violin, viola, piano, voice, guitar, and music theory and hosts the Music on Market Concert Series in the adjacent St. John's Episcopal Church, and a more informal "coffeehouse" at MISU. Visit misucatskills.org for more information.

There is a $10 suggested donation at the door for SongClub, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
