Spring-themed piano singalong at the Spy Social Eatery in High Falls

Posted

An old-fashioned “Sing into Spring” piano bar singalong to mark the arrival of springtime to the Mid-Hudson Valley will be held, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the Spy Social Eatery and Bar, 155 Main St., High Falls. Elliot Matz of Kripplebush, who drew a packed house for the Valentine’s Day singalong, will return to the piano. He will play old-time song favorites about the joys of springtime and summer, some that date back to the early 1900s. Co-host for the evening is Jay Blotcher of High Falls. The duo has held periodic piano bar singalongs at the Spy since 2020. Donations for the piano tip jar will be given to the Rondout Valley Growers for ongoing local farming and agricultural support and community food distribution programs. The beneficiary of the Spy February piano singalong was the Stone Ridge Library Foundation, which received $256! There is no admission fee. All are welcome. To guarantee a table in the main dining room for the singalong, dinner reservations must be made in advance at 845-687-7249.
