Rosendale’s Staats Fasoldt among the local artists featured in ‘Winter Salon’ show

The Mark Gruber Gallery “Winter Salon, a group show” features over 20 artists and artisans, bringing a wide variety of media with oils, pastels, watercolors, and photography plus a display of different styles from landscapes to fruits and florals, to river scenes and more. The exhibit runs through March 9, at the gallery, located in the New Paltz Plaza, New Paltz.

The essence of local landscapes and still lifes are captured by such regional talents as Sue Barrasi, James Coe, Kevin Cook, James Cramer, Cathy Copeland, Steve Dolan, Carolyn Edlund, Gayle Fedigan, Andrea McFarland, Vince Natale, Linda Puiatti, Robert Trondsen, Marlene Wiedenbaum of High Falls, to name a few. There are landscape photos by nationally celebrated photographer Hardie Truesdale, Rosendale’s Staats Fasoldt brings fluid and airy watercolors of local vistas, there’s Leah Lopez’ sensuous oils, Leonie Lacouette’s whimsical clocks, Kaete Brittan Shaw of High Falls’ curvaceous vases and bowls, and Linda Moriarty’s ceramic vessels.
